B&H Photo Video
“The fact that you’re getting a flexible, wide-angle zoom lens and hybrid camera combined, that can fit in your pocket no less, is compelling on its own. But the fact that it also has shockingly good built-in mics, impressive image stabilization, snappy autofocus and a variety of YouTuber friendly modes that utilize it, webcam functionality, a built-in ND filter (seriously people you only get that in cinema cameras!), slow-mo recording, impressive burst modes for photos, access to the Creators Cloud, which is a whole system of editing and sharing features I didn’t even get into. Where was I going with this? Oh right…if you’re a content creator who’s been looking for an easy-to-use, reliable, all-in-one camera, the ZV-1 II is a very compelling option.” – Nick
David Manning
“…I’ve already placed my order for this camera. I am getting a Sony ZV-1 II that will live in my bag.” – David Manning
“Having the upgraded mic is nice, having that touch screen is nice. But that lens is kind of why this camera will be living in my bag. Because I’m going to use this for times when one, I don’t want to walk around with my giant camera if I’m out in public and I just want to walk around with this thing, that’s much easier. But also like when I’m filming my own life. Like being able to have this little hip pack thing and my whole camera setup is just right here and I can play with my kids and everything. And then when I want to film something I just kind of really quickly whip it out and bam, bam, bam, shoot it and tuck it back away. I like that man. This is going to be a camera that is going to be used and abused.” – David Manning
Taylor Jackson
“So this camera here, the ZV-1 II, I will be buying with my own money. It is going to be an incredible camera just to have in my bag. So I am a professional photographer out there working in the real world, and to have this as a second camera just essentially for my vlog content. Sometimes I try to bring my A7 IV and use that as a vlog camera but it’s a little large. This? It fits easily in a bag. And it does pretty much everything I would need from just that kind of vlog cam when I’m out there doing a real job to bring some content to you here on the YouTube that goes a little more in-depth.” – Taylor Jackson
The Film Alliance
"This camera is perfect for someone who is starting out and wants that beautiful 4K image. It’s a compact camera that comes as it is without having to lug around extra lenses. For vloggers, this camera is for you. For behind-the-scenes shooters, this camera is for you. For YouTubers, this camera is for you.” – The Film Alliance
Jenna Ezarik
“Another reason why this camera is super-friendly is we do have easy access to kind of switching between video, pictures and S&Q. I am constantly switching between them, so you’re able to just kind of cycle through with just the press of a button. I love timelapses so I always just have my S&Q kind of set to timelapse, but we can also do slow motion.” – Jenna Ezarik
Adorama
“Overall I think Sony gave a massive upgrade to a camera that was already very famous between content creators. So in the range of under $1000, this is definitely the best camera for vloggers.” – Sal D’Alia
Jason Hermann
“We have Creative Settings and you can see here on the bottom that these are the options. So you can go in there and you can change the brightness and darkness. You can go in here and change it from walk to cool. So if you want a warmer look you can actually go in there and dial it. And this is in full Auto Mode, guys. So this is like serious power in full Auto with the camera doing all the thinking for you. This is like giving you the ability to manipulate the results without having to know much about color, temperature and all these other things. You can just go in and play with this stuff and get the look that you’re going for, and then just hit record and start recording.” – Jason Hermann
Mark Bennett’s Camera Crisis
“I can safely say that with the improvements over the ZV-1, this is the best travel camera that I have ever used.” – Mark Bennett
“It has been a joy to use due to the size and the weight. It has that amazing Sony autofocus, puts the box around your eye or animal – human or animal. And if you want to track, you can just touch and hold to track and it will stick to the object like glue. You can also touch the screen to focus, or one of the things I like to do when I’m taking photos, you touch the screen for it to release the shutter. So we’ll focus and take the picture where you point on the screen. I find that very helpful when you have a camera that does not have an EVF.” – Mark Bennett
